Back in 2013, our family of seven needed a simple way to keep track of gift ideas. Valentine's Day, Easter, Graduations, Birthdays, Christmas, and special occasions kept coming up, and guessing gifts (or asking awkward questions) never really worked. So a small, quick web tool was built just for us (Dad's a computer nerd) — nothing fancy, just a shared place where everyone could add what they actually wanted.
And it worked.
Over the years, we kept using it. We refined it. We improved it as our family grew up & gift desires changed. For more than 12 years, Gift Groupie quietly did one job really well: helping a group give better gifts without stress.
Eventually, we realized something important — this wasn’t just useful for our family. We showed it to other friends and coworkers - who thought it was a great idea too.
